Precision Frac Gives Back in the Big Apple: Part 2
The #12DaysofGiving Campaign brought Precision Frac and Karmic Energy to New York City on December 12th, when the team made donations to the Harlem Children’s Zone and The Bowery Mission.
In Part 1 of our story, we talked about the Harlem Children’s Zone and the Promise Academy. The staff welcomed our team warmly, giving us a tour of both organizations. The experience was an eye-opening one for our team. You can read more about it here.
Later that same day, CEO Jared Davis, President Trent Crawford, Davis’ son Gavin, and publicist Razonia McClellan volunteered at The Bowery Mission by serving dinner to approximately 250 homeless people.
The Bowery Mission has served the homeless, hungry, and poor in New York City since 1879. It provides meals, shelter, and medical care, as well as a residential program and even a summer camp for kids.
Peter Fitton and Laurie-Anne Bentley of The Bowery Mission gave our team a tour. They explained that the organization doesn’t just offer fresh meals to those in need, it also provides a shower service and a clothing service. The clothing service helps keeps men and women in clean clothing — especially in preparation for job interviews.
The Bowery Mission also offers programs for substance abuse and helps individuals successfully re-enter the workforce. Its children’s programs are especially touching and are helping change the direction of young, at-risk New Yorkers’ lives.
Our entire team was completely humbled by the experience, and Jared plans to make additional clothing and financial donations to the organization. You can learn more about The Bowery Mission on its website, and you can read more about the #12DaysofGiving Campaign on our blog.
